Telkomsel dan Pegatron 5G Perkuat Kolaborasi di MWC 2025
Barcelona, 5 March 2025 – Telkomsel, as the leading digital telecommunications service provider in Indonesia, and Pegatron 5G, the 5G business unit of Pegatron, a global electronics manufacturer, officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona.
Aligned with one of the MWC 2025 theme "Enterprise Re-Invented," this strategic collaboration marks a new step in the implementation of 5G Smart Manufacturing solutions that will support the digital transformation of industries, particularly in the manufacturing sector in Indonesia. The implementation of this solution will be applied at the production facilities of PT Pegaunihan Technology Indonesia, a subsidiary of Pegatron operating in Batam.
Utilizing Telkomsel's leading 5G network, this solution enables full integration between the Internet of Things (IoT) and automation in the production process. With high-speed connectivity and low latency, this system will enhance operational efficiency, strengthen quality control, and support mobility within the manufacturing environment. The adoption of IoT in this manufacturing system will allow for real-time monitoring, reduce potential production errors, and accelerate data-driven decision-making. Additionally, this solution is expected to serve as a pilot model for the implementation of 5G technology in the manufacturing industry in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
