Telkomsel Sambungkan Senyuman is our way of supporting communities in need throughout Indonesia. Focused on sharing hope, this program aims to create a better future by promoting happiness and empowering local communities. Through Telkomsel Sambungkan Senyuman, we work to address challenges and create opportunities that bring people together in Indonesia.
During Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr (RAFI), we work to enhance our broadband network and provide digital products and services to support customers during this time.
As part of the Telkomsel Siaga RAFI 2024 program, we deployed several community-focused efforts. These included distributing clean water supplies in five locations, renovating 150 prayer rooms, Islamic boarding schools, and places of worship, improving 200 small business facilities, providing 1,000 health check-ups and treatments for underprivileged communities, delivering 1,000 nutrition, food, and vitamin packages for infants and toddlers, distributing 1,000 sahur and iftar meal packages, and supplying 1,800 basic food packages for disadvantaged communities. We also launched the "Mudik Hepi Telkomsel Poin" program, which allowed loyal customers to exchange points for travel tickets, helping 1,100 people return home for Eid.
For Eid Adha 1445 H, we distributed 103 cows and 607 goats/sheep to over 43,000 beneficiaries in more than 600 locations nationwide. We collaborated with organizations like Dompet Dhuafa, Evermos, and local farmers, providing both raw and prepared meals to those in need.
In line with the #SemarakSemangat theme, we also supported communities during NARU by running the Sambungkan Senyuman program in several cities like Manado, Bandung, Batam, and Kupang. We offered free medical assistance, distributed essential goods and food packages, and provided educational grants and support to orphans and disadvantaged groups.
Jumat Berkah aimed at helping those in need through various charitable activities. It focuses on Friday, which is considered a special day of the week, to spread happiness. The program includes donations for orphans and underprivileged individuals, humanitarian assistance, medical support, education, and help for disaster victims. Our employees and customers can participate in this initiative. Through the MyTelkomsel App, customers can easily make donations.
One of the notable achievements of Jumat Berkah was providing over 39,000 pairs of shoes to schools in Jayapura, Timika, and Sorong. We also donated Orbit modems to schools to enhance digital learning. To mark International Day of Persons with Disabilities in 2024, we launched “Sambungkan Senyuman untuk Generasi Gemilang,” which involved donating school bags designed by artists with disabilities for students throughout Indonesia. The goal of these efforts is to foster happiness in the community and promote a spirit of giving, which aligns with our values.
TERRA focused on helping during natural disasters in Indonesia. Our goal is to quickly restore networks in areas affected by emergencies to maintain communication.
In addition to fixing network issues, TERRA also provides essential supplies to those in need and helps with rebuilding efforts in communities during the recovery phase. Over the years, TERRA has been involved in various disaster response initiatives, working closely with government agencies and other sectors.
Baktiku Negeriku is designed to support balanced development by using digital technology to help rural communities thrive. It focuses on agriculture, local products, and tourism, providing farmers with training on sustainable practices that improve food production and create economic opportunities. The program aims to support local products through marketing assistance. This initiative shows our dedication to making positive technological impacts that contribute to the social, economic, and environmental well-being of rural Indonesia.
