At the beginning, G20 was a meeting of the Ministers of Finance and the Governors of the Central Banks. However, since 2008, the G20 has presented Heads of State in summits and in 2010 discussions were also formed in the development sector. The next goal of the G20 is to achieve strong, sustainable, balanced, and inclusive global growth.
Indonesia was appointed at the 2020 Riyadh Summit and has held the G20 presidency since the handover from Italy on October 31, 2021, in Rome, Italy. The G20 Presidency of Indonesia has officially started on December 1, 2021 until the handover of the next presidency at the Summit event, at the end of 2022.
The 2022 G20 Summit will be held in Bali, Indonesia.
